Pre-Bidding

- You can preview and bid on items as they appear in the WFWA Harvest Holiday Auction beginning October 1, 2010 and continuing through the last night of the live broadcast at the auction website: http://wfwa.pbsauctions.com

- Your bid is a commitment to purchase that item should it be the highest bid. You will not have the opportunity to purchase the item for less than your bid amount.

- By placing your bid on an item, you recognize, and understand, that if your bid is accepted, you are legally responsible for paying for that item and that you may not retract your bid.

- The successful (highest) bidder for each item will be confirmed by e-mail, and if no actual e-mail is available, by phone.

Registration and Bidding

- To speed up the bidding process, you may pre-register for this auction online at http://wfwa.pbsauctions.com, or by calling (260) 484-8839 prior to 5 PM November 12, 2010 during normal business hours.

- Once you are registered as a bidder, your name or email address will be used as your user name; a password (your unique bidder ID number) will be given to you. Please write these down and keep them in a safe place. You'll need them later to make bids via phone should you choose to do so.

- To become a bidder, you will need to register with your name, phone number, address, e-mail address and payment information, in the form of a credit card/debit card.

- During the nights of the WFWA Harvest Holiday Auction broadcast, if you have not already registered as a bidder via the Internet, you may call (260) 484-8839 to do so. This phone number has been reserved to register bidders only.

- During the nights of the WFWA Harvest Holiday Auction broadcast, if you cannot place bids online from your home, you may call (260) 969-2721 or toll-free, 1-866-969-2721 to place a bid. This phone number will be only for making bids.

If you have a question to be answered about the Auction while it is in progress, the number to call will be the registration line (260) 484-8839. If you call the auction bid line (above) during the auction with a question during the broadcast or for any other reason, you may be disconnected by the operator.

Please give the auction operator your name and password (auction ID number) as given to you either online or over the phone. You will not be able to place a bid without these.

To place a bid over the phone the night of the auction broadcasts,
you must give the PBS39 volunteer operator:

--Your name or e-mail address, or, if you don't have an actual e-mail address, the bidder number/password you were assigned when you registered)

--The Board and Item Number (example: Silver Board 1, Item No: Sl01851)

--The On-air name of the item (Example: The Ultimate Red Green Fan Package)

- Once you place your bid, your call for that bid and that item will end. One call = one bid.

- Bidding increments are in even dollar amounts only ($1.00) for example. Bids cannot be made and will not be accepted in dollars/cents format ($1.01, or 1-cent) increments.

- All people -- full- and part-time employees, volunteers and others working for WFWA PBS39 and inside the PBS39 teleplex the nights of the broadcast -- are strictly prohibited from making bids on any auction items during the nights of the live auction broadcasts from within the studio, offices or within any part of the PBS39 teleplex itself.

Closing Auction Boards

- All Boards will be opened and re-capped by the auction program hosts.  Once the re-cap of the items on that board are complete, then a two-minute clock will begin the official closing of the board.

- Every time a bid is place on an item on the closing board, the countdown clock on that particular board will be extended by 30 seconds until we no longer receive bids on that item/board. Even though the broadcast may have moved past that item/board, online bidding may still occur until there is not activity for 30 seconds. Once a board/item closes, it is closed, and the winning bidder will be notified by PBS39.

- You will only know if you are the high bidder and winner of a particular item if and when you receive a confirmation e-mail or call from PBS39. If you do not receive an e-mail or call, you were not the winning bidder.

Bid Confirmation

- All successful bids will be confirmed by e-mail or by telephone (if no e-mail address has been provided/entered. The process for each case is as follows:

- Confirmation by E-Mail:
You will receive a separate e-mail confirming each item you won.
This e-mail will provide you with the item information, specifically the amount due/collected for that item and information on whether it will be mailed to you or if the  item needs to be picked up at PBS39.

The credit/debit card you provided at registration will automatically be charged for the amount of your winning bid. PBS39 will accept Mastercard, VISA, American Express and Discover cards.

If yours is the high bid, the PBS39 representative will also advise whether your item will need to be picked up at PBS39 and by when, or whether it can or will be shipped/mailed to you.

- A bid will only be considered confirmed by phone when the PBS39 Auction representative has spoken directly to the person making the high bid.

- Voicemail or answering machine messages will not be used as a means of confirming the winning bid. If you receive a call on your voicemail or answering machine, you must return the call and speak with a PBS39 Auction representative for your winning/high bid to be confirmed.
