WFWA PBS39 was honored to be able to broadcast live coverage of
1991 Nobel Prize Winner Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's historic speech, live,
which began at 9:00am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the
Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This recording, approximately 90 minutes in length, features Suu Kyi speaking to the audience in Burmese; her words, translated to English, appear in open captioning on screens at the event.

While this recording reflects the speech as it was broadcast live and seen on
area TV screens, this will be replaced with a fully translated
English captioned/subtitled version when it is available.
